Photo: DPAGerman Chancellor Angela Merkel will Tuesday meet President Vladimir Putin in the Black Sea resort of Sochi in her first visit to Russia since 2015, signalling renewed dialogue between Berlin and Moscow. Merkel's visit to Russia comes after Putin called for the countries' relations "to fully normalise", while meeting German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel in March. The Kremlin confirmed that Merkel and Putin would discuss the G20 and the Ukraine peace plan. Her Moscow visit will also be an opportunity "to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral relations," the Kremlin said in a statement. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also due to meet Putin in Sochi on Wednesday.
