OPS said that merger talks were going on smoothly and a final call would be taken soon, adding that they would carry forward on the path laid by MGR and Amma. Meanwhile, AIADMK spokesperson and TTV Dinakaran supporter C R Saraswathi has hit out at Palaniswami and Panneerselvam camps of the AIADMK for avoiding them. Saraswathi claimed that the party cadre wants TTV Dinakaran to lead AIADMK. The Dinakaran supported further asserted that Chinamma is innocent and the party wants her to come back. While speaking to India Today, Nanjil Sampath says that Sasikala has asked party cadre to ignore the merger talks.
