The short-handed Mercury (9-8) beat Dallas, the team with the worst record in the WNBA at 5-14, for the second time in four days, after winning 69-64 on Wednesday. Brittney Griner led Phoenix with 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots. DeWanna Bonner added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Mitchell had 13 points. The Wings, led by 16 points and seven rebounds from Kayla Thornton and 15 points and nine rebounds from reserve Glory Johnson, have lost seven of their last eight games. The Mercury made 26 of 29 shots from there while Dallas was 13 of 14.
