MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) launched its new Cavite substation to support the province’s robust and growing economy. In a statement yesterday, Meralco said it inaugurated its new substation in partnership with property developer Property Company of Friends Inc. (Pro-Friends). The facility will accommodate the increasing electricity requirements of Lancaster New City in General Trias, Cavite and nearby communities. Situated on a 5,400-square meter lot donated by Pro-Friends, the 115kV-34.5kV outdoor substation in Lancaster New City is a state-of-the-art facility that can function unmanned. This substation will fulfill energy requirements primarily of Lancaster New City (LNC) and also cater to nearby communities surrounding LNC,” Pro-Friends president Guillermo Choa said.
