There is a lady sweeper who works along with Premji, looking after the girls section of the shelter. Working only eight hour shifts, the shelter remains unattended after the sweepers end their shift till the next day. Such terrible unsanitary conditions continue to remain in spite of the government providing aid to the Society in the form of salaries and children's expenses (Rs985 per child per month). Out of 72 different posts that have been sanctioned by the government, the institution has just 40 posts filled. Child aid is also meagre considering the inflation and their nutritional needs considering that 2/3rds of the inmates are adult.
