Seventeen per cent of referrals to Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) were rejected between 2015 and 2017, equivalent to 150 a day, new figures reveal. In all 652,023 cases were referred to NHS trusts in England, mostly by GPs and other professionals, with 109,613 rejected.
