A frenetic first half ended with India up 3-2.But Hayward got the Kookaburras back into the game with a PC in the 38th minute, and the third quarter ended with the scores level 3-3. Hayward struck again in the 51st minute to give Australia the lead for the first time, and the defenders ensured the advantage remained with the home team.
