The two men who were killed in a helicopter crash near Whangarei yesterday have been named. They were Allan Jessop (42), of Tangiteroria, and Derek Hammond (49), of Kauri. Police have removed the bodies from the crash site and were being transported to Auckland for a post-mortem. It is believed the helicopter went into native bush on a hillside in the Glenbervie Forest about 200m below a ridge line.
