Ching Chee Siong, 39, was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing voluntarily hurt by dangerous weapons. Ching faces up to ten years' jail, a fine, whipping or any two of the punishments, if convicted. He was also charged for criminal trespass into Khor's home, punishable under Section 447 of the Penal Code. The offence carries a jail term of up to six months, a maximum fine of RM3,000 or both. In another court, See Kean Soon, 38, who recorded the entire beating incident, was charged under Section 109 of the Penal Code for abetting Ching.
