Armed men wearing uniforms resembling those of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have made off with over Tk 10.8 million from a distributor of mobile financial service Nagad in Dhaka’s Uttara, police say. The incident took place at 8:52am on Saturday on Road 12 of Sector 13 in Uttara, according to Deputy Commissioner Mahidul Islam of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Uttara Division, reports bdnews24.com. “They [the victims] told us the robbers took Tk 10.8 million. As the man seated at the back tried to flee with the bag of money, men wearing RAB jackets chased him down. Many have committed crimes wearing RAB or police uniforms.
