#MelnykOut billboards go up across Ottawa as fans call for Senators owner to sell team

Billboards with the simple message “#MelnykOut” went up in four spots around Ottawa Monday. They are the work of Spencer Callaghan, a fan of the Senators but not of the owner, who raised more than $10,000 in a GoFundMe effort. The billboards are slated to be up for two weeks at Ogilvie Road near St. Laurent Boulevard, Hunt Club Road near Paul Benoit Driveway, Bank Street near Riverside Drive and Carling Avenue near Preston Street. A fifth will go up April 2 for one week on Bank Street near Riverdale Avenue. Senators owner, Eugene Melnyk hosted approximately 100 children from General Vanier Public School and Assumption Catholic school, at his annual Skate for Kids.
