She lived there with her husband Sayyed Ali Akbar, son, and three daughters. As per a report in Times of India, Minoo was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago, and her health deteriorated. Anwar Ali’s wife, Mona Mathur Ali told indianexpress.com, “Minoo lived in Toronto, Canada for over twenty years. Her last rites will be done in Toronto itself.”For the unversed, Malikunnisa was renamed Minoo by actress Meena Kumari, who was Mehmood’s sister-in-law.
