Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's much-publicised falling out with David and Victoria Beckham has been linked to Manchester United legend David's desire for a knighthood. The former footballer, 48, is understood to be desperate to be knighted and infamously expressed his anger at the system in 2017 in foul-mouthed leaked emails. The Beckhams were invited to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in 2018, although only to the ceremony. The fall out stems from suggestions the Beckhams were leaking stories to the press, an accusation said to have left David "furious". Beckham was made an OBE in 2003 for services to football while Victoria was appointed an OBE in 2017 for services to the fashion industry.
