For example, princesses and duchesses should be called 'Your Royal Highness' on first address, and 'Ma'am' subsequently. ‌One chapter serialised on Saturday in the Times concerns the Invictus Games, held in Vancouver in January 2025. Bower writes that the Canadian organisers asked how they should address the Sussexes, with chief executive Nick Booth replying: "Meghan insists on 'Ma'am' and Harry should be called 'Sir'." The next Invictus Games will be held in Birmingham next year, although Bower writes that there is only a "remote" chance of King Charles agreeing to open the event.
