Follows, who is still revered all these years later for starring in the 1980s Anne of Green Gables miniseries and its followup Anne of Avonlea, is joining the cast of the Space supernatural show Wynonna Earp. Based on the comic book series by Beau Smith, it stars Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna, the great-great-granddaughter of Wyatt Earp. She fights various supernatural beings, including “revenants,” reincarnated outlaws who were killed by her famous ancestor. Follows, who recently played Queen Catherine de’ Medici, mother of Francis II, in Reign, will co-star as Michelle Earp, previously absent mother of Wynonna and her sister Waverley (Dominique Provost-Chalkley).
