KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's premier home design and furnishings exhibition – Home Design and Interior Exhibition (Homedec) – opened its door to the public at Hall 5, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today. The four-day event celebrates Homedec’s 15th year in the industry and is held alongside the inaugural Reka Interior Exhibition (RiX), which is a part of the first Reka Design Week (RDW) 2017. RiX is Malaysia’s first showcase of interior design, products and objects uniquely tailored for interior designers by interior designers. Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) vice-president Ooi Boon Seong and MIID council member Lai Siew Hong are the appointed joint curators of RiX. “REKA design week 2017 offers all the platform for explorations and the concept of infinite search can also be applied to the quest for practical and theoretical solutions.
