That’s because since 2020, Phil Campbell and his wife Kathy Farmer, both 65, have spent nearly every night sleeping in a ‘treehouse’ at the bottom of their garden. Kathy explains: ‘At first we did think – what if we get hypothermia and don’t wake up in the morning. Their outdoor bedroom is a lovely spot, despite the fact that it is open to the elements on two sides. Kathy explains: ‘People say, “Oh don’t you get cold?” But there’s nothing to stop us walking back up to the house.
