Brian Mutembei is the man behind the Kenyan firm, Indo Power Solutions, that promised to pay the Tanzanian government Ksh18 billion for cashew nuts. The money was to be wired in three days in a deal signed in February 2019 to buy 100,000 tonnes of cashew nuts from Tanzania. During the 2017 campaigns, Mutembei was known for his generous donations and grand lifestyle. Mutembei was a frequent visitor to the MCA’s youth projects such as football tournaments and workshops for upcoming local artists.
