Medical faculty for Nakhon PhanomNakhon Phanom University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Public Health to create a new Faculty of Medicine, with the first intake of students planned for the 2028 academic year. The memorandum of understanding was signed on March 24 at the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health. Dr Thawatchai Supadit, president of Nakhon Phanom University, signed on behalf of the university, while permanent secretary for public health Somruek Chuengsaman represented the ministry. Senior officials from the university, Nakhon Phanom Hospital and state agencies attended as witnesses. The university will oversee pre-clinical education in Years 1–3, while clinical training in Years 4–6 will be conducted at the Clinical Medical Education Centre at Nakhon Phanom Hospital.
