Shortly after the deal was approved, the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) called for its suspension because they had not been consulted before the $12.5 million deal was finalised. “My understanding is that this is not a substitute for the regular supply line chain in terms of medical supply. This makes Ghana the only country in the West African sub-region currently using the technology to improve health service delivery.
