For the first time ever, doctors' billing information is being made public, after the association representing doctors in Newfoundland and Labrador dropped a legal fight to try to keep the information secret. Dr. Charlene Fitzgerald, head of the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association, says the association dropped its court battle after seeing the trend in other provinces where billings have been made public.
