[Omondi Onyango, Standard]Kenya National Union of medical Laboratory officers has issued a 7-day ultimatum that will prompt a strike if they are not included in the ongoing dispute resolution mechanism between the government and health unions. The Union also calls for extra allowances such as the bio-risk allowances of Sh30,000 and call allowances amounting to Sh10,000. The union has also called out the Ministry of Health (MOH) for “threats and intimidation” directed at medical laboratory officers through a letter sent to the Union by a technical advisor to the Cabinet secretary of December 23.
