The Ballari Media Club has condemned the derogatory remarks against media in the status updates being posted in ex-police official Anupama Shenoy’s Facebook account. Mediapersons have urged Mr. Murgan to order an investigation and initiate action against those responsible. Mediapersons led by club president Kinnureshwar, on Saturday, in a memorandum addressed to S. Murgan, Inspector General of Police, Ballari, have demanded stern action against those targeting the media. They submitted the memorandum to Additional SP Vijay Dambal. Ms. Shenoy, whose resignation for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Kudligi Sub-Division in Ballari district, was accepted by the government a couple of days ago, had distanced herself from the remarks.
