Med-View to evacuate 5,037 Nigerians from Libya


Maureen Ihua-MaduenyiThe Federal Government, through the National Emergency Management Agency, has appointed Med-View Airline to evacuate 5,037 Nigerians from Libya. The airline said an agreement to that effect was signed at NEMA headquarters in Abuja on Friday. According to the terms of the agreement, the two organisations will facilitate smooth airlifting of Nigerians out of Libya. Na’Allah; NEMA’s Director-General, Mr. Mustapha Maihaja; a Senior Legal Officer to NEMA, Fatima Bukar; and Med-View’s Corporate Affairs Officer, Johnson Omole, participated in the signing of the agreement. President Muhammadu Buhari had recently constituted a 17-member fact-finding committee headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, to aid the evacuation process of Nigerians in Libya.
