Dr Maria Poynter of the Auckland Regional Public Health Service advises what to do if you suspect you may have contracted measles. Health authorities have issued a warning after a passenger infected with measles took flights between Auckland and Palmerston North. Passengers on flight Air NZ 5119 from Auckland to Palmerston North at 7.20am on Saturday, July 6 and Air NZ 5114 from Palmerston North to Auckland at 2.30pm on Sunday, July 7 may have been exposed to the measles infection from a passenger who flew prior to being diagnosed.
