Republican congressmen Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan appeared Friday on "Hannity" to discuss President Trump's border wall and the partial government shutdown. The shutdown took effect at 12 a.m. Saturday after the House could not agree to a government spending package by Friday. Rep. Meadows (N.C.) said that a federal spending deal could not be agreed upon primarily because of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer. "We spend more money on sugar subsidies than we do on building a wall to secure our nation," he said. "They're so concerned about stopping President Trump from accomplishing things.
