#MeToo After Moonves: What Should Companies Be Doing?


After slowly forcing Moonves’s resignation, CBS did what other publicly-traded companies have done in similarly disquieting circumstances: it expanded its board of directors. Three of the six new CBS board appointees added in recent days are women. In my experience counseling companies, diversity is critical, but diversity of opinion and the courage to share those opinions is critical, too. American companies fall prey to their own biases – just as Asian and European companies do. But in the #MeToo world after Moonves, organizations would do well to heed their counsel.
