Olympic silver medals: 400m and 800m freestyleThe medals are what people always want to see. For me, they are reminders of that special feeling of actually having won them, the journey it took to get there. That was so tough, having to watch from the sofa, seeing friends and team-mates competing — that was when I nearly walked away from the sport. But the medals from Rio 2016 make it feel that the journey was all worth it. I don’t think I could have done any more — on the day, I was beaten by two world records from Katie Ledecky.
