Prior to joining BCIC, Ehsan was chairman of the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC). He joins as a chairman grade-1, according to a press release. Md Ehsan-E-Elahi joined as the new chairman of the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) | Dhaka TribuneHe joined the Bangladesh Civil Service as an assistant commissioner (land) through the BCS exams in 1991 and has held various posts at the field level, including UNO, ADC and DC. He has worked at the Planning Ministry, Secretariat, Science and Technology Ministry, Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Bangladesh Railway, Roads & Transport Ministry & Bridge Division.
