ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) " Graeme McDowell, Francesco Molinari and Ryan Palmer are among 11 alternates added to the field for the British Open. If he weren't an alternate, he would have had to try to get one of the four spots available at the French Open and Scottish Open. The other alternates are James Hahn, Gary Woodland, Patton Kizzire, Fabian Gomez, Jeunghan Wang, Scott Hend, Brendan Steele and Tony Finau. McDowell has not missed the Open since 2003. The R&A used the world ranking published Monday for its alternate list.
