Posting on Quora, a McDonald’s worker said: "In the UK, we have 2 periods which are known as Gapbuster Times. "Basically between 12-2 and 5pm-7pm workers have to be extra careful because that is when gapbusters (mystery shoppers), who are paid, visit McDonald's restaurants and rate their experience." “When you buy a hot drink, you can ask for a free refill once. “Suppose if you want to buy a promotional hot drink which costs more than £2, then just buy any hot drink (hot chocolate, latte, white coffee) which ever is the cheapest, drink it and then ask them for refill, they will ask you what drink you want, then just say the name of the promotional drink.”What’s your favourite McDonald’s hack?
