The new ice cream flavour has chunky pieces of KitKat chocolate swirled into the McDonald's ice cream - topped with hot chocolate fudge. The KitKat treat will set customers back $5.40 (£3.01) and follows the release of the limited-edition caramel pie McFlurry in June. The KitKat flavour costs 45 cents (25p) more than the caramel pie McFlurry. But more than just a new ice cream, McDonald's is also using KitKats in its frappés - priced at $5.50 (£3.07). These will have small pieces of KitKat blended into an iced chocolate drink - topped with whipped cream and KitKat sprinkles.
