A reporter asked Sen. Mitch McConnell at his weekly press conference whether his comment that impeachment stops with him means there won’t be a trial in the Senate. Mr. McConnell said no. Senators asked questions. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters on Wednesday that he has had “zero” conversations with Mr. McConnell about the structure of a possible impeachment trial in the Senate. We have to wait and see what the House does,” Mr. Schumer said.
