Fears of a looming crisis in Nairobi were widespread last week as Intensive Care Units set aside for Covid-19 patients were almost full. “In Nairobi, most ICU beds are almost full. The Ministry of Health had on August 1 listed 14 isolation and quarantine facilities where patients can seek help. Kenya High School, Kenya Education Management Institution, Nairobi School and St George’s Girls High School had a total of 2,070 beds where each patient paid Sh2,000 daily. Lady Griffin at Kenya Medical Training College will have 190 beds, Pumwani's Nursing and Training College 90 and Bahati Health Centre 50.
