MAYORS from at least three regions in the country topped a new list of drug suspects from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), its Director Aaron Aquino said in a press conference on Tuesday. Aquino said PDEA was currently validating the list containing the names of 93 local officials, about 60 of who were mayors, mostly from Northern Mindanao, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and Calabarzon. There’s a few vice mayors, congressmen, and few vice governors,” Aquino said. Aquino admitted that there were officials who talked to him and tried to clear their names. The first narcolist from PDEA was released in April involving 211 barangay officials.
