West Coast mayor to the rescue after Kiwi league legend's heart attack JOANNE CARROLLSupplied Former Kiwi rugby league player and Grey District councillor Tony Coll and Grey mayor Tony Kokshoorn go biking every week. Grey District Mayor Tony Kokshoorn has saved the life of his best mate and Kiwis rugby league legend Tony Coll. The 69-year-old, who is also a Grey District councillor, had just arrived at Kokshoorn's Greymouth house to go for their weekly bike ride. Coll played 30 tests for the Kiwis between 1972 and 1982 and was captain at the 1977 Rugby League World Cup. The CPR Kokshoorn had learned as a surf life saver 40 years ago came back to him.
