“We know why those jobs get created and what the specific relationship is to our investment,” Mr. de Blasio said on Sunday after speaking to a group in Concord, New Hampshire where he is considering a run for president. “It’s something we have to do by projection but we believe the projections are clear and effective,” the mayor added. In the program’s first year, city officials said they had “laid the groundwork” to create 19,000 jobs paying $50,000 or more. The city has been praised for investing millions of dollars to refurbish the terminal. But so far, only about 20 jobs, mostly from Jomashop, have been added.
