Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki tonight presented a proposed $183.1 million operating budget for Fiscal Year 2024 and an $84.2 million water/sewer/stormwater budget to City Council as part of his annual State of the City Address. The Mayor’s proposed operating budget has increased only 3.5% over current fiscal year expenditures, which Mayor Purzycki says is an indication of the considerable budget discipline that has characterized his administration since 2017.
