Toronto Mayor John Tory has announced plans to introduce road tolls Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway to raise millions for new transit projects. The toll of $2 a vehicle could raise as much as $200 million a year all earmarked for transit, a source at city hall told CBC Toronto.
