The prime minister hopes to seal several deals on her quick trip to India GETTYTheresa May has reiterated her determination to push ahead with Brexit, as she boarded a plane to India this morning to start negotiations on an “ambitious” trade deal. Speaking at Heathrow this morning, the prime minister said that she would continue to resist Labour’s demands that she spell out Britain’s negotiating position. She said: “While others seek to tie our negotiating hands, the government will get on with the job of delivering the decision of the British people. “It was MPs who overwhelmingly decided to put the decision in their hands. MPs and peers who regret the referendum result need to accept what the people decided.
