Maxine Peake has broken her silence after Rebecca Long-Bailey was sacked from the shadow cabinet today. Long-Bailey was forced out of her job after tweeting a link to an interview with Peake that Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said contained an 'antisemitic conspiracy theory.' Peake claimed that police in America who kneeled on George Floyd's neck had learned the tactic from 'seminars with Israeli secret services'. After sharing Peake's article on Thursday, Long-Bailey later backtracked and said she did not endorse the article, but this wasn't enough to save her job.
