She said that last year, she changed her farm fertiliser to Mavuno and yields from the farm went up to between 40 bags and Sh45 per acre last season. “I was sceptical initially but my neighbour convinced me to get Mavuno fertiliser and I am happy that production went up and I want to encourage other farmers to give a try on this product” says the farmer. Dr Raval disclosed that the firm deals with more than 40 different products that include the Mavuno fertiliser assist farmers to increase their produce. “Our product, the Mavuno fertiliser is soil specific and will guarantee higher yields in the farm. He noted that the Kenya can be self-reliant in term of food security if farmers adopt the right farming practices.
