According to Express News, the sit-in was concluded after a final round of talks between the Punjab government and the sit-in leaders remained fruitful. Maulana Asif Jalali, heading the Lahore sit-in, later announced his decision to conclude the protest in the provincial capital. Both sides also settled on the formation of a committee tasked with probing into the matter of Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. However, the Lahore sit-in was launched by the Jalali-led faction of the TLY following reports of a crackdown against the participants of the Faizabad sit-in on the morning of November 25. After the talks, traffic on Lahore’s Mall Road has now been restored.
