De Ligt is widely expected to leave Ajax this summer, and could cost up to £70million. The teenager is seen as a target for a host of top clubs across Europe. But any Gunners deal for De Ligt would have to involve Ozil leaving the club. Arsenal can't afford the defender's £70m price tag unless they remove Ozil's £350,000 a week contract from the equation. Money raised from the German's transfer and the freed up wages could be plunged into a move for De Ligt, although Arsenal will face stiff competition for his services.
