In 2014, when Matthew McConaughey and Timothée Chalamet co-starred as father and son in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, McConaughey had just won a Best Actor Oscar (for Dallas Buyers Club) and Chalamet was still in the early stages of his career, with only one film appearance under his belt. On February 21, UT’s Moody College of Communication will host a town hall-style conversation between McConaughey, a native Texan and UT alumnus, and Chalamet. The event, co-produced by Variety and CNN, will stream for CNN streaming subscribers and pay TV subscribers via CNN.com and CNN connected TV and mobile apps. The one-off is an extension of Variety’s popular Actors on Actors series, which brings together industry talent for candid conversations.
