Fans will fork out £774 to fill up this year's Panini World Cup sticker book, according to a maths genius. There will be stickers for all 32 team squads of players, as well as a special stickers for managers, stadiums and World Cup legends - adding up to a pricey collection. In 2016 Prof Harper calculated that the average cost of filling the brand's 680-space Euro sticker book was £374, meaning the cost has more than doubled from that in 2018. Professor Harper said: 'I can still recall the joy of finally completing my first Panini album as a young boy for the 1982 World Cup in Spain. The company's 2014 World Cup album was its biggest-selling ever worldwide, with British collectors buying in huge numbers.
