Mathare hospital senior assistant director of medical services Georgina Wangui Kamunge has been arrested over graft allegations. EACC detectives arrested Kamunge following allegations that she demanded Sh5,000 bribe from firearm owner seeking psychiatric evaluation reports from the hospital for the ongoing vetting of licensed firearms. The commission on its Twitter handle on Friday said its officers received complaints from gun owners seeking the said evaluation reports. Interior CS Fred Matiang’i had on December 17 last year ordered all gun owners to undergo mandatory fresh vetting within three months.
