Police are appalled at the lack of judgement of teenagers who filmed and encouraged a serious assault. The attack was one of three in recent weeks, involving Matamata College students in the Waikato. In one case, the girls fought but it ended quickly, only to lead to a more serious assault involving the same girls the following day. A statement from the college on behalf of principal Alan Munro and the college board of trustees said some students had been suspended as a result of the assaults.
