Former Bell Pottinger partners Victoria Geoghegan and Nick Lambert have lost their application to block legal action against them in the UK. Bell Pottinger collapsed in September 2017 after it was ejected from the UK's key PR industry body for doing work that was likely to "inflame racial discord". If found guilty at an upcoming hearing, Geoghegan, Lambert and their co-defendant, former Bell Pottinger CEO James Henderson, face boardroom bans of between two and 15 years. Used to operating behind the scenes, Bell Pottinger was forced to the forefront of the story. Last year the UK's Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy brought disqualification proceedings against Geoghegan, Lambert and Henderson.
