A huge traffic jam has formed on both sides of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway, starting all the way from Eliotganj Bridge in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla coming up to the Meghna Bridge. The jam on Tuesday morning stretched for 40km. Gradually, it stretched to a length of 40km. “The pressure has started lessening, although there is still traffic on the Comilla part for 5-6km and on the other side of Meghna. The police are trying to make the highway active again,” OC Abul added.
